Community Labs is a non-profit organization that works to create COVID-19 Safety Zones and a pathway for schools to reopen, people to return to work and communities to recover.
To achieve our mission, we work with a local specialized lab that provides 24-hour test results and a less invasive test by swabbing the front of the nostril. This is the same accelerated pandemic suppression system used by Harvard and MIT scientists.
The system will be given to area schools, businesses and local groups or ‘Micro-Populations’ to conduct bi-weekly assurance testing of their entire communities according to this proven suppression system. By testing whole Micro-Populations—the previously undetected ‘Silent Spreaders’ can be immediately identified and quarantined for the first time—burning out the virus and turning each school, business and group into a safety zone for normal operations.
The system runs entirely on off-the-shelf tools and technology, requiring no new medical breakthroughs until effective vaccines can be found. Our first City Lab will be able to process 100,000 rapid-results tests per day. Our mission is to scale rapidly and share our technology openly with anyone inside or outside San Antonio so they can get back to normal as soon as possible.
